We haven planned a special Yoga weekend. Ida Jo and Scott Lamps from Ghosh Yoga are coming to teach 4 workshops at our yogaschool. .

Saturday, February 29

9:30  - 12:00     The basics of Practice: Building a Strong Foundation

Description of the workshop: We are always practicing something. Often we are building bad habits that we don't realize and moving farther away from the goals of our practice.
In this workshop, we refine the basics of our practice to make sure we are on the right path. We will look into how to practice for maximum gain.
After talking about practice techniques, we will focus on how to breathe correctly and how to correctly use our muscles.
You will leave with your postures feeling easier, a better understanding of where to focus your effort and with an understanding of how to make progress.

The workshop consists of a lecture, the opportunity to ask questions and a full practice.

This workshop is suitable for all levels.

13:00  - 15:30   Refining your Practice: Understanding the Purpose

Description of the workshop: Knowing how to practice is the first step to progress and a lifelong relationship with yoga. In the first workshop, we learned how to practice. Here we learn why. What are the benefits of the postures? What is the purpose of a yoga practice? Why is it important to know why we do what we do? We will answer these questions as we go through postures and practices. We will refine physical concepts like backward bending and forward bending, balance and open our minds to how yoga has been thought of throughout time.

The workshop consists of a lecture, the opportunity to ask questions and a full practice.

This workshop is suitable for all levels..
